Yellow is the color of this world, our sun is yellow. It's easier to manifest in this world as yellow i.e. gold. The Chinese alchemists and the Taoists considered that "the path" (the Tao) always manifested as yellow. Gold is one of the colors associated with the heart (Christ center).
