Rootboy Bones was an albino black man born in Haiti*. He was trained by the very, very best of their secret societies. He was worshiped as an incarnation of Damballa (see the discussion on the Damballa page). He is one of Harold's channels. He pops up once in a while and teaches Harold things about the African and/or Haitian religions.
*Between Napoleon and the dictatorships, it was a place of theological study and advancement. Now it's a mess where only Voodoo works..
