Skryer

A person who can use objects to see visions.

These can be of three kinds:

1. Quantifiable, verifiable visions of things hidden, and/or in the past or in the future.
2. Dr. Dee's skryer, Edmond Kelly, didn't gaze into the crystal ball, he held it against his forehead and closed his eyes for visions. One could say this is a type of psi. His visions were not so much verifiable as they were systematic, i.e. he was show an entire language, called Enochian, which had it's own grammar and spelling and definitions. Enochen Magick.
3. Just visions, i.e. reflections of one's own psyche. And these can be of two types: meaningful and meaningless. A bit like channeling. Sometimes you get a spirit that knows more about things than you could possibly know, other times it's completely meaningless communication, which is more like "speaking in tongues", i.e. it may mean something, it may do something, but nobody has a dictionary to translate it. So it strains the definition of communication.

How are these things possible? The microcosm is like the macrocosm., As above, so below. The inside is like the outside.
