You probably already know what liberation from material bondage is. So, I won't go into that. Suffice to say that something is liberated. This may be demonstrated with chemicals or metals by an unexpected electric current or magnetism, or if you're extremely lucky, a glow.
Internal alchemy, it's like gradually removing the "playpen" (the restrictions) of karma or "want". This is a simplification.
I can say this, however, that this phenomena is witnessed daily in the work place as people retire. Two kinds of people retire: one is normally made to retire, the other is simply old enough to retire. The ones that are made to retire have "graduated", become too good at the game. You can tell if it's a graduation or more of the same, by the challenges that meet you. If you if rusticate, then there was no graduation.
