Emerald is a green beryl (a silicate of beryllium and aluminum) that is hard to find in gem quality. Emerald green is associated with Hermes and Aphrodite being the color of spring and new life (fertility). Horus is referred to as "The Prince of the Emerald Stone."
Said to help one understand one's mother and repair relationships. Good for the heart and kidneys.
